NovaKaine's Megapad

Postby NovaKaine » Thu Aug 27, 2009 10:34 pm

Finally after months of work I finally finished a prototype.
Forgive the rough looks I'm working on a plastic case for it.
It has 27 pads and it will have a 4 pad foot pedal attachment later.
Still having to fiddle with the sensitivity of the pads but they all trigger.
A few are having cross-talk issues but nothing major.
Not quite a Zen drum but more like a trapkat.
Since I'm a finger drummer this works great for me.
Check out the pics.

Gratulations, Nova!
What software do you use?

For the next casing I'll suggest putting the usb cable out of the way, in the back. And perhaps consider a more ergonomical, less linear layout of the pads.

Native Instruments Battery 3, the layout is based on a drum machine setup.
Hence the linear look.
Since I built it for finger drumming this works good.
Check out "Fingers Haynes on Youtube"
Mainly I want it to trigger samples.
The next one I build will be a drum module for my acoustic kit Ive converted.
I redoing my pads for a less bulky look now
Thanks for all your help and inspiration bro.
