Continuous aftertouch messages & Megadrum not responding

Postby anttipi » Wed Dec 30, 2009 8:46 pm

I wonder what could be wrong: in MidiOX I get nothing but continous aftertouch messages (scrolling at a wild pace) and Megadrum is not respoding. I can only get to the copyright screen.

Load default settings with RIGHT key pressed while powering up.

The reset worked for Megadrum! It's responding now.

But I don't understand the wild scrolling in MidiOX (same in BFD2's Midi window and in MCT it looks like all pads are permanently choked). In MCT all the orange bars are full all the time - I guess that's supposed to mean choke?

When I open MidiOX (or BFD2), everything seems normal at first. But once I hit any pad, the wild scrolling starts. Right now as I'm writing this, MidiOX keeps displaying "note off" and "note on" for C1 and C#1 (I THINK it is C#1 as it's scrolling so mad it's impossible to read). No matter which pad I hit now, it won't change: it's just the C1/C#1. Sometimes it reads "aftertouch", sometimes just "note off" or something else. And as I said, the same thing in BFD2, so it's not just MidiOX that is acting crazy.

I think the problem is connected to transferring setting changes from MCT to Megadrum. Anyone else experienced this?

E: MCT is not to blame after all. Whenever I open MIDIOX and hit a pad, the scrolling starts. Resetting Megadrum doesn't help. However, now the scrolling seems only to happen in MIDIOX, not in MCT or BFD2.
