Megadrum 56i how to power USB and Output USB ?

Postby tatankam » Wed Dec 16, 2009 12:21 pm

Hallo.

I do not understand how to power by computer through USB Megadrum 56 input.

I see USB connector on the mainboard and I see USB connector on 32 input board

Furthermore, if I want to connect the output of Megadrum to the computer which is the right USB connection?

Thanks a lot for your help.

You power MegaDrum up over USB just as any other USB powered devices by plugging into a USB port.

You can use any USB port in a your computer to connect MegaDrum to.

Thanks.

But, I see a USB socket on the main board and I have an USB socket on the 32 input board.

It's the same if I connect to USB computer port the USB socket on the main board or the USB socket on the 32 input board ?

Thanks.

Are you asking about Synthex's kit?
Have you looked at the kit documentation Synthex provided?
Have you asked Synthex?

I'm guessing you can use either.

When I use it the LCD power on, but I don't read nothing, whiy this?

I connected only one USB from computer to mainboard and with the jumber in position test LCD is up.

Now, when I power up from USB, I see in the LCD a row of square and Led blink only once.

What could I check?

Thanks.

All works.

To use the USB of the input/output board as input, have I to connect the 4 USB pin to the 4 USB pin of the mainboard?

thanks.

I did on my v.2.5. I am assuming it is the same for the newer versions.
