Overall Quality of Megadrum Compared To Professional Module

I have no experience with megadrum (although I hope to build one soon), but I have used an Alesis Trigger IO for almost 2 years now. It was inexpensive, and works well enough, but the high hat pedal input stopped working after about a year. I might recommend the alesis IO for a beginner or someone on a budget that doesn't want to build a megadrum. If you want to get serious about e-drumming, you will probably find the IO too basic and limited.
