Hi Jman 31
I'm curious about the encoders and have a question if you don't mind or anybody else who knows

I want to use rotary encoders and Jmans link has a 24 pulse and Dimtre's has a 16 pulse per rotation
is one better than another?

Thanks

Oh and RockDude, did you finish your enclosure yet? I read all 13 pages ya can't leave us hanging :P

As far as I know the only difference is the rotation distance per notch. With 24 pulse you turn the knob just a little less per pulse. I don't think in this application that it would matter much. The 24 pulse would scroll through the menus a little faster.

Yeah Rockdude, let's see it!

I'll give you guys some pictures when I've fixed my printer. The enclosure is finished except for the print I'm about to put on it 8-)

Jman; I'll get back to you regarding the optical hihat too. I still haven't had enough time to try it. I've had a lot of work to do....and I've also focused on building a new snare trigger. A little unusual version and so far it's working very well. The best thing is that it has almost no hotspots at all. I can strike on the spot where the trigger is and the signal won't peak until I strike it very hard. I'll describe it when it's ready for the world :ugeek:
