Help for setting snare

Postby Maylord.war » Fri Sep 10, 2010 12:37 am

Hi all

i have my snare drum 14" with foam cone but how to reduce the sensivity?

I don't know which parameters setting for have a good response, when i play soft/medium with my stick the response to midi is high...

I tryed to increase and decrease the threshold and high level but not are a good solution

thanks

Regards

Try increasing High Level and lower the gain setting? If that doesn't do the trick, you could decrease sensitivity with a Potentiometer/voltage divider.

Hi, Maylord.war!
It seems that your pad is "hot".
You can try this settings:
LvlShift: 0
Gain: 0
Curve: Log2
HighLevel: 1023
I had the same trouble and this settings help me.
Good luck!

If Gain set 0, HiLvlAuto set to Yes and after dozen of hits HighLevel goes above 900 then the pad is too "hot".
If the pad is too "hot" see viewtopic.php?p=11911#p11911

Try different curves or make a custom one on your own.

Thanks guys!

i have tryed to connect one wire of piezo in a my 50kOhm slider and now the sensivity is pretty good!

but some minute ago i have a problem with my MCT, when i open the main screen and the megadrum is connected MCT in the side of hit hat "open close" shows noise and fluctuations (green bar) how can I solve? I have the latest firmware with Atmega 644

how to resolve?

The controller of hit hat is not connected, no pedal no potentiometer no hall effect...nothing, is complete open

thanks

Adjust LevelsAuto, LowLevel and HighLevel in the HiHat pedal settings. Without anything connected to the pedal input and with these settings left at default any smallest voltage fluctuations on the pedal input will be registered as pedal position changes.
