How to successfully eliminate latency problem?

Hi,

I use an ACER laptop with a standard sound card which is detected as Realtek High Definition Audio. I have installed ASIO drivers and tweaked the buffer settings.. MD is also set at the lowest latency and minScan..Still I have noticeable latency. Has anyone had success overcoming this problem by having unnoticeable latency without buying a midi interface?

You have to configure your software synthesizer to use ASIO drivers.
