Strange Phenomena

Postby airflamesred » Sun Jul 21, 2013 2:33 pm

Upgraded to the new firmware the other day and a strange issue has appeared.
The pad connected to input 35 is set to trigger note 36. Both the sound and the log indicate note 42 being played.
input 36 is set to play note 48 is also playing note 42.

Changing the channel does work though changing the note has no effect.

Any ideas?
cheers

Post your settings here. I'll load and test it.

With MDM, save the config into a file and post it here.

By input 35 you mean the pin 35 which is in fact the input 2. This, by default and in your config, is a HiHat cymbal. If the HiHat pedal is not fully open, notes, as expected, are taken from "HiHat Pedal->Notes". Nothing strange.

Well that's it. Never touched the pedal settings before because I'm not using a hi hat?

So the notes in the pedal settings now overide the pad settings that I've been using for the past year?

Yes, of course, because input 2 (and input 3 if it's a dual zone pad/cymbal) is linked to the HiHat pedal by default and in your config specifically. But not just now - it's always been like this.

How did I ever get the correct notes!
So if I change hi hat input to 48 (not currently used) then I can use the normal pad settings on 2 and 3 by the look of things.
