MegaDrum MA-SO-NE, ISSUE>DURATION SETTINGS

Postby amasone101 » Mon Nov 18, 2013 3:32 pm

Hello Dmitri and Friends:
-
Question regarding Duration settings:
Is there a Duration setting at the MegaDrum appliance or within the MegaDrum Management Console?

Purpose:
There are many FX patch's that require you to hold down a Key from a Keyboard controller so you can here the entire loop. Without Signal duration I cannot get the loop to play in its entirety. Only a one-time-short signal is sent.

Thanks Dmitri and Everyone!
Regards,

With Note Off the maximum note duration is limited to 10s. MegaDrum is a drum trigger-to MIDI devices and percussion (drum) events by nature are meant to be short. Keyboard type MIDI devices are better suited for long running MIDI events. Having said this, there still can be a possibility to use MegaDrum to trigger loops if the software is flexible enough and allows to use one MIDI note as a loop start event and another MIDI note as loop end event. If I'm not mistaken, el-dr uses MegaDrum for starting loops in such way: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMc5rSE ... e6g/videos
