False Triggering

Postby G-Man » Tue Dec 31, 2013 3:57 pm

Hi

My megadrum started showing a solid activity LED and in megadrum manager it constantly hits random notes over and over again. If I look at the LCD there are a few pads activating, even though nothing is physically connected to my board, I have unlugged everything. (One at a time I unplugged evrything, even the LCD and buttons)

The board is still perfect and I see no damage or dirt. What could be my issue?

I tried reloading the firmware but anything I try does this

Does it do false triggering with default settings and nothing connected to 'Pads connector 1' and 'Pads connector 2' of the board?

Yes it was doing that, although I" think it was a setting because I managed to change the ports number down to 18 from 56, then reloaded latest firmware and that issue has gone away. Now my LCD shows the top Left hand block and the midi activity light stays on solid. This is really strange. Both pads 1 and 2 are disconnected.

Top left VU Meter is for HiHat pedal controller. Without a pedal connected and configured properly it may produce MIDI activity in the form of MIDI CC messages.
