Postby ddropski » Mon Sep 01, 2014 10:03 pm

hi everyone I was hoping someone can tell me what im doing wrong im trying to make a custom pad name for cymbal7

I have the newest firmware
I have configNa... checked
i have Custom Pad Names Checked

When I check Configna.. it allows me to type the name in (cymbal7)
then I select send nothing happens so I figured that it sent it to the md and I need to retrieve it so I select get ...nothing happens
so I clicked Save to Slot and it saves it under slot 18 and then select get nothing happens
I even tried it the ConfigNa... Unchecked

I do not see (cymbal7 under the pad list or in the slot I was trying to put it in

hummm what am I doing wrong?

I wonder if you add the tom 7 name at the right place.

First you need to add the name to the name list...you have this list in the curve/name panel

Then you select the right name from the list in the pad panel. Tom 7

Now you are able to save the name by using save to slot. Slot 18 could have a own name...Ad2 etc...I am guessing this is where you try to enter your pad name...or?

Crash course:

Slot=complete MD configuration (all input settings, maps, curves, names)

So you could have different setup's: example three different slots...1, 2, 3...and also have friendly names like AD2, Superior and BDF3. :-)

Then it is possible to fast change between them directly on you MD.

The customconfignames checkbox global enables this function for the MD and custom pad names enables you to globally be able to store pad names in your MD.
