Thank you for that clarification, that helps and I will make those changes.

Also, is the hookup for the sound out correct? Having it go from the earphones jack to the soundboard? Is there any problem with doing it this way or is this the standard way it's done?

You might get some latency if you are using the onboard soundcard.
