Hi there, I'm noticing that when trying to play soft Bow Hits on the Hi-Hat directly after a chick, the first note is missed or perhaps suppressed by Megadrum's own "trigger suppression of the same zone functionality"?
The nuances of great playing often dictate that a soft hihat bow hit will come after a chick. An example of this would be the groove to "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" by Paul Simon with Gadd on drums. The groove comprises of playing alternate chick and hihat bow hits.
The only way it works for me without having that first bow hit missed is if I really hit the bow hard after the chick at which point all the feel and groove of this particular groove is lost.
The topic viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2886 and Dimitri's comments alluded to the fact that Megadrum will try and suppress hits of similar or lower velocity coming from the same pad/edge/bow etc.
Is there anyway to change this so that lighter bow strikes on the Hihat very quickly after a chick will not be supressed?
