Help needed!

Postby MaxMM » Tue Jul 12, 2016 4:39 pm

so I'm totally new here so forgive me if I've posted this wrong. anyway, i bought a 56 channel with lcd screen a while back and have now started with my acoustic to electric drum conversion. I'm matching it with FXpansions BFD3. so I've struggled a bit with my snare, toms and kick. then i went in (Megadrum Manager) Main - All pads setting - Load from MD --- and i think that solved much of my problems.

but Im still having problems with the cymbals. the modules red indicator keeps flashing even when no cymbal is connected. i guess the red flash is midi signal (bfd3 keeps triggering) so i really dont know whats wrong… is there some preset or something you’ve got i can use? or maybe guide me through the settings… or is there something wrong with the module maybe?

one last thing: I've seen Racer52 on youtube on how he turns a regular brazz cymbal into a trigger and I've trying to do the same thing. But i can't get the choke working. is there a preference in megadrum manager i need to change for this? i wouldn't think so since its the Roland way of wiring (so Im told...)

best regards max mm

Welcome,
You'll need to configure your pads and cymbals.

Do I understand it right that MegaDrum has defaults settings (i.e. you have not modified anything) but the cymbals start triggering even without anything connected to the inputs, not even cables without pads/cymbals right after you power up MegaDrum?
