megadrum to SD3 hi hat

Postby dbarth » Thu Jul 15, 2021 11:16 pm

I do not want megadrum to send different notes to SD3 with different positions of the hi hat pedal. SD3 is responding correctly to positions of the pedal (and the levels for this response are adjustable in SD3). What I cannot figure out is how to set up megdrum so that it sends a trigger to SD3 letting it know the Hi Hat has been struck, and let SD3 determine what note to play depending on it's sense of the pedal position. Any thoughts?

I think you have to use CC4? In both MD and SD3.
Someone should be along soon with a more comprehensive answer.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

You set all Notes for different positions in the Pedal settings equal to Notes on the HiHat input.

Thanks all. I am almost there. SD3 registers the changing pedal position fine so I assume CC4 is being sent correctly. Let me see if I have the second messagecorrectly. So if I have the high hat trigger input set to the note 19 (for example) I should also set all the notes for the hi hat pedal (except Chick and Splash) to 19 as well?
