keyboard problems

Postby monomusic » Sun Oct 12, 2008 4:23 am

so i've finally finished it. everything is in working order. i go to put it in its enclosure and bam! the left and right buttons don't work...they work the brain just isn't reading them. up and down work fine. holding left on startup takes me to the firmware. everything else works perfectly just no left and right. anybody have any ideas?
i reflashed the firmware with midiox and same result...
any help would be much appreciated.

f course as soon as i post i find the answer...bad solder joint... it only took like an hour to find haha

<edit> spoke to soon. left and right work if i press one of them during boot(while copyright info is still on the screen) they work fine until you let it time out and return to the default screen. then left and right dont work anymore.

so back to square one....

Is a HihHat pedal connected?
Is "Quick Access" set to Yes?

ahhh okay. yeah quick access is now off and everything works fine except the kick drum. is there any way to wire up the kick drum to a regular switch (like a sustain pedal)? i've tried and cant get it to work. works fine with a pad but i have a limited number of pads right now.

1. Kick must be a piezo pad.
2. No pads can be set as a switch and not be a part of dual (or 3way) piezo/switch (or piezo/switch/switch) pad. Well, you can SET Rim/Edge inputs as a switch without setting Head/Bow as 'Dual/3Was' but it won't work.

Yes, you can use a switch as a HiHat pedal. In your case AutoLevels for HiHat hasn't set Low and High levels properly. Set HiHat Pedal->AutoLevels to No and adjust LowLevel and HighLevel for the pedal until you get a full range.
