Foot switch input supported?

Hello all,

Does the MegaDrum board support a foot-switch -- either to send out MIDI program changes or to switch between mapper settings? I'm replacing a Roland TD-20 with a MegaDrum, and have used my up/down foot switch for both purposes.

There are extra input pins free on the Atmel processor, but I'm not sure whether Dimitri distributes the source for the firmware we run...

Here's the draft layout of the somewhat tight (7 * 15 cm) rear panel for use with a small-ish Hammond 1598GSGY enclosure ($16 from Allied Electric) -- any comments?

Changes in 20080720 version:

1. Added a 'Quick Access' configuration option in the menu. 'Quick Access' with HiHat pedal pressed down (jumping to a pad hit while in the menu or loading drum maps with keys UP/DOWN while in 'VU meter' mode) has always been enabled before. It might have caused problems trying to access the configuration menu if HiHat Pedal was unconnected or misconfigured. Now you can disable/enable this feature. By default 'Quick Access' is now disabled.

You can extend UP/DOWN keys to an external foot switch a quickly switch drum maps.

Is there a simple way to make the foot switch send out MIDI program changes (i.e., to an attached sampler)?

It can be done if more than one person thinks it's needed.

I think this would be a really good addition ... for example you could start a metronome or change samples, if you switch over to percussion for a song. I'd like it

Excellent feature. I'd love to double my percussion section with a footswitch in the heat of the battle.
