Pedal hihat weirdness x2

Thanks Dimitri, Synthex and all of you who contributes to the Megadrum development in this forum, remarkable to say the least...

Then on to my questions:
I seem to have a problem with my optical hihat pedal controller - when I try to adjust the LowLevel and HiLevel range to achive no CC messeges to be sent in end positions, I can get it to stop at 127 pedal pressed down, but I don't get it to reach below 1 in the up posiotion (in other words it doesn't reach 0, both MCT and MidiOX shows 1 when pedal is in the open position). Is this ok or have I missed something?

The other thing that bugs me is that Megadrum sends out a "midi note on" in the midle of the CC range when I press down the pedal real slow, and thats sloooowly pressing down. How to setup Megadrum not to do that?

Make sure that the optics are completely unblocked when in this position. The slightest bit of blockage will change the voltage and give a "false" number.

This is ok.

This is there to emulate a soft chick. When you really slow press a pedal, you inadvertently cause the pedal to go a slightest bit up somewhere in the middle. Once MegaDrum notices the pedal going up it assumes you stopped pressing it. And if it happens between a fully pressed position and a middle position MegaDrum registers it as a soft chick.

Ok, thank you for answering! What made me confused was that I read somewhere (maybe in the manual or in this forum), that the hihat pedal is supposed to send out a CC 0 in the open position, and that MCT shows the correct value (that being 0 when open), but no matter what I did trying to adjust the optical controller it wasn't possible to get MTC to show 0.

(Jman, I tried to totaly remove the "lightblocking" piece, also adjusting the amount of light with a trimpot, nothing helped!).
