Hello!
I built my Megadrum last year. I was happy with the module and my diy pads, until I played Roland Kit in a music store. The triggering was excellent there. It was a big difference as against to the md module.I thought the weak components would be my self made pads. But I bought some Roland PD8 Pads and the results were still not very good on the megadrum. Firstly the mid dynamic range is very bad, as a result that the strokes are not consistent. It seems to me that it produces a lot of random strokes there. Secondly there are double trigger problems(the notes are very close together, it sounds like a flanger effect), especially if you play loud. I researched in other forums and I found out that I'm not the only one with these problems.
With this handicaps, the md module has no chance to be an alternative to the Roland td20/30. Unfortunately it's still a big
difference between this modules in terms of triggering. It would be great if dmitri could solve this problems with a firmware update, to be a real td30 replacement.
Thank you.
