Why have not you built MegaDrum yet?

It is too complicated. I wish someone would build it for me.

There are better commercial offerings, taking in account price(of the offerings) and time(to build MegaDrum)?

MegaDrum is too young, I'll wait until I have more feedback from others.

is the driver OSX compatible? I really want to build this but I too have no experience with this kind of thing.

Does it support positional sensing? also for a 3 zone ride or snare would I have to use 1 stereo and 1 mono input?

Is it a statement for a reason why you haven't built MegaDrum? If not, than it is off topic in this thread. Ask in a different thread.

Well... the only thing keeping me from building is the post!

I just ordered the full kit. I am excited and nervous about building my first piece of gear.

Because I'm in the Bicol Region of the Philippines, which is a bit far from the nation's capital and thus only a few of the components required to assemble it are available here.

Another reason why I haven't built the megadrum yet (which I really, badly, want to do) is that I don't think I'll be able to handle the PIC programming step since I don't even know what a PIC is or what it does.

Is there a kit with a preprogrammed IC?

Cool!

I'll start saving up for the money required to buy it.

Has there already been a previous order from my country before?
