Infinite false notes... Any help???

I've got some news. It appears that it's mux no4 that creates the problem. That narrows thing a bit, but I noticed something else. Every hit on my test piezo will result in one proper note (EZ drummer will produce the right sound) followed by many false notes (no63 played by EZ drummer as hihat hits). Here's a pic:

My test piezo is a 27mm Murata piezo wired by me with two 50cm single coil cables, with no resistors at the moment. For the time being, I have removed the 4th muxer.
Please help people... What are all these 63notes appearing like crazy?

By default all inputs starting from the input 21 have the Note set to 63 so it is very difficult to say which input is causing the problem.

I see. That helps a lot. So, from your experience, could it be possible that all the fault notes are cause by some short of an input with GND, which would fool MD into thinking that someone constantly hits that input? Would it be wise to change the notes on the inputs, one at a time, to figure out the one causing the problem?

It can be (hair thin) shorts/breaks, wrong resistors values, bad soldering.

It is reasonable to assume that to debug the problem all inputs must be configured with unique values. Also, the LCD VU meters show which inputs are triggering.

I don't get something. I use MIDI-OX to monitor the inputs and it keeps reporting activity only on channel 10, although I changed all pads to another channel. Is that normal?

And something else: What's the meaning of the Send All Get All etc in MDManager, since all changes on MDManager effect MD in real time? How come when I press Get All, all pads have their Notes, Alt Notes etc set to 0 ?

It just means that you have not changed the configuration in MegaDrum.

And something else: What's the meaning of the Send All Get All etc in MDManager, since all changes on MDManager effect MD in real time?

It's not real time unless you enabled 'Live Updates' and even when it is enabled it only sends changes TO MegaDrum when you do MAKE changes in MDM and only for ONE particular setting you are changing.

How come when I press Get All, all pads have their Notes, Alt Notes etc set to 0 ?

It means you don't get any settings from MegaDrum at all.

What??? How is that possible? It detects the firmware version on its own.

I don't know. Ongoing MIDI activity due to problems on the board can prevent MDM from getting/sending settings from/to MegaDrum. Show the video when you try to get all settings from MegaDrum with the MIDI Log window open while doing this.

I am uploading the requested video. In the meantime, I tried to upload/download setting from Megadrum with no muxer on pcb (therefore no possible inputs) and it still fails to send/receive settings...

I must say, I am using the latest MDM with firmware 20101020.

Oh my goodness.... Now it produces the 63notes with no muxers connected....

Maybe MDM is not compatible with the firmware version I have. I downloaded MCT and it worked fine. I set all inputs to note 90 and checked it with EZ Drummer. It works! All inputs trigger the Ride cymbal (and the cursed 63note as well). It makes me think I might be facing something more serious than simply an input short...
