If I were selling MegaDrum with particular pads/cymbals it definitely would have come with presets for those pads/cymbals.

Meantime, everybody is welcome to share in http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=761

Hi Dmitri,
questions again. :)

1. What should I do if I don't want to use the usb port in live situation? (MD midi -> external soundcard -> PC) How can I power MD?
Or is it better to use the usb connection directly send midi to the PC?

2. The MD built by you has the HH control impedance switch, the kit doesn't. Regarding kit instruction it has two inputs for HH control (low and high impedance inputs). Is it right for the present kits too?

Thanks
Gabor

Hi, i am jumping into the discussion. I beleive that Dmitri is away for two weeks.

1. I would recommend using the usb port. You can run it on faster speeds than original midi and it seems like you are going to use a pc anyway in your scenario...so you will have the usb power. It is also possible to use an external powered usb hub (the easy way, it works without a pc) or a separate power adapter which delivers 5V (needs some connectors and soldering)

2. All boards/modules have the hi/low hihat input. I am not sure if any of the kits differs and have the switch included/excluded...but i beleive if you only buy the module you won't get the external stuff like the switch. We are using the high impedance input for Roland hi-hats etc.

Thanks for your kind contribution! :-)

Regarding the USB question, is it a right way to use it that I connect MD to the laptop via USB and the MIDI doesn't go into the external audio/midi interface?
However I intended to use MD as an input extension device beside my TD12 and in that case I should connect MD's midi out to TD12's midi in as I know. Is it correct?

You use USB only to power up MegaDrum and connect MegaDrum's MIDI Out to TD12's MIDI In.
