So, today I bought a pot and inserted it into the piezo circuit. When I dial in the maximum resistance (~50kO) the only effect is that very slight hits are not recognized - the overspill is still there. The HiLevel value in the menu shows 1003 (with AutoLevel set to yes), so my piezo (35mm btw) still seems too hot, even with resistor damping. Next thing I'll try is detaching the piezos from the cone (they came fixed to each other) and inserting one piece of foam in between. Any other suggestions?

Can you show how you connected the piezo, the pot and the input all together?

Looks like you didn't ground the pot...

No, I was wrong... but I think it's not wired correctly - the wire from the ceramic part (piezo) goes into the pot, but the brass part goes straight to 'ground' on the jack sleeve, just like 'ground' from the pot. The remaining pin (middle) on the pot goes to 'tip' on the jack. Hope this makes sense.

Connect the free pin of the pot to the ground (sleeve of the TRS plug).

Thanks for the answers! So, the polarity of the piezo does matter?! Um.. didn't know that
I'll fix the grounding issue tomorrow when I have more time.

Hi today I fixed the missing pot connection and with the pot set to about half of its spectrum and some threshold and gain settings tuning, the overspill is finally beaten. =) Big thanks for the help! Now the pads and the hat (incl pedal) work so wunderfully, I can hardly believe it.
So waiting for the cymbals and construct them will be my last barrier. After this is taken I'll immediately start working on the video!

Ok so... I need to set up my HH65 hi hat. Can you tell me what to do from the beginning cause i'm kind of lost.. (how to crossover cable, adjust low hi etc.) I'm new to all this stuff thank you for your help.
