turned md on
opend mdm autoload set to no

staring fresh
opend protools and bfd and midi learned bass drum

and hilvl adjusted the kd9 to 94

right way i noticed miss triggering

i hit
rlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlrlr

i got

rlrl lr rlr rlrlrlr(Loud) rl lrlr(loud) rlrl lrlrlr (and and occasional loud hit )

I tried to make a video to show but the site is not accepting it (i ziped it too)

it is 45 mb

here is the config file (if someone pms me their email I can send them the video)\

it seems like the manual so hard to understand you have to be a electrical engineer to inderstand it I tried to read the manual at least 25 times

is there a simple version out there with basic laymans terms? the only thing I understand is

gain = sensitivity
and from my understanding when you hit a pad it creates a music note the software(bfd ect) triggers 1 of 127 samples depending on how hard you hit the pad (velocity) and high level determines how loud to play the sample.... im I wrong? I think more ppl would be interested in the megadrum if someone made the manual a little easier to understand (no disrespect to megadrum Dmitri must be a freaking Einstein ) but the average person is not as smart
me included I feel very lost everytime I turn this thing on (im hoping to be better at it ) but not understanding the manual does not help

the forum is pretty awesome (but it seems be be the same 3 ppl helping)
anders, dmitri, airflamesred ..I hope to help once I learn anything and contribute but I cant help feeling like im just being a paing in the ass to everyone... (poor anders had to endure at least 50 of my questions) and its not like I have not tried to help myself but I cant understand the manual :( so if possabe can someone simplify the most important features to setting up a pad ?

Feeling kinda frustrated and embarrassed but I want this all to work so bad
thanks guys
Dave

Ah, another mds file that bears no relation to the ones you posted yesterday.

Once again;
Set the high level and then UN-TICK THE BOX.
set the threshold (16 yesterday, 30 today)

send to MD

Then what happens?
There is no need for the rlrl info. As clever as megadrum is, it can't differentiate between which hand you have used.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

You're dealing with a problem on one pad, don't send a config in a zip over and over again. Come up with a best possible definitive config you can find, post the MDM screenshot of settings on the pad and describe the problem you have with THIS particular config.

Did you try plugging the kick into another input?
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

The most obvious thing is that HighLevel is set incorrectly - it is WAY too low and of course will negatively effect false triggering suppression causing hits to be missed. Read about HighLevel (and all other pads settings) in http://www.megadrum.info/content/pads-settings

i did see that was some of the problem i went through the manual line by line and i think i have a little better understanding on setting the pads up

this seems to trigger pretty good no mis triggers and good dynamics

what do you think

HighLevel now looks reasonable. You set DynTime very low so make sure you don't get double triggering now.

it is actually working perfect .. I think because it has all that thick foam to go through it cools the piezo which let you set it lower
