I have yet to get to trigger tuning, When I do, I will post if the rim split thing works. I'm trying to get a million things working at once. The last two days were matching the right pre-amps and direct box combos with each keyboard. Establishing a room level based on recording levels of -14 Using familiar synth and piano sounds. Then I will have established system levels for mixing each drum. For unbalanced outputs I liked a passive direct with a tube/transformerless preamp. For the balanced output keyboard I liked an API clone that I have, it could handle the hot balanced line without choking. Tomorrow I get the big boy speakers going....Pair of Maganapans 1.7 with 500 watt mono blocks each speaker and a sub.

But I'm getting off topic. Once up and fully running, I will really be able to tune in both real and E-drum set. Hope to create a vid showing the contrast, but I have to buy and get through the vid learning curve as well before that happens.....months.

With a real kit in the room and mic'd up, it's so much easier to have a grounded perspective and tune in an E-kit that sounds reel.
