Oops! something really bad must have happened. I tried running the update from MDM, but when I started the upgrade nothing happened for a while and then there was an error saying 'could no connect to megadrum' (or something similar).

Now the module wont boot up again. The only way to start it is with the left key pressed to enter the 'update' mode.

But it still refuses to connect to MDM. :?

I just published an official 20160404 version with a better fix. With 2.2" LCDs (and of course 1.8" LCDs) it now triggers fast rolls exactly as with a standard LCD.
I've tested it with my Yamaha PCY135 cymbal. If you still have an issue then it is now down to settings.

Hi, I've just been testing this new firmware and the issue I have is that now the screen seems to have slowed down; the VU bars noticeably lag behind. For example, if I press the hi hat pedal, its VU meter lags behind and sort of stutters. If I do a quick footsplash, it doesn't even visibly change position as the pedal has returned to its initial position before the screen has time to catch up. I do have a larger 2.8" screen so that possibly has to do with it, though it worked perfectly with previous firmwares.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

Hello again. Managed to load the firmware and, unfortunately, I get the same results as 'ignotus'

But fast triggering now works, doesn't?

I will test it tonight to see how severe it is. The main MCU task is to do sampling and MIDI output which is using over 90% of MCU cycles. Any leftover cycles are used for secondary tasks like display updates. Since ili9340 LCDs (2.2" and others) requires 4x more data processing than st7735 they will be slower but without effect on main functionality. I will see what can be done to improve it.

Unfortunately the missing notes problem is not fixed :(

As I said before, the problem is even more pronounced if I alter between edge and bow notes.

It would be nice to hear from someone who can verify that a VH-11 works without losing hits.

Ok, I will forget about display for now since it doesn't effect main functionality.

With this firmware:
1. How did you set up HighLevels on both bow and edge? They must be set correctly otherwise false triggering suppression between zones will not work correctly.
2. After setting HighLevels correctly If you hit just the bow is the problem there?
3. After setting HighLevels correctly If you hit just the edge is the problem there?

Ok, so first, I have only my VH-11 connected to the module, Nothing else.

I load the 'Advanced' ROM kit where the hi-hat settings are made using a VH-11.
I increased threshold to eliminate false triggering (to 33)
As you mentioned in an earlier post, I set 3rd zone threshold to 0
I also lowered the Dyn level and dyn time on both bow and edge.

Now for the high level settings. The current setting of 951 on both edge and bow seems too high, since no matter how hard i hit, I never reach more than 100 in velocity.
Using the auto setting, I reached about 730, so I have now set them both to 700.
The problem is still there. Both on edge and bow. It seems to me that hitting harder makes the problem bigger.

These are my current settings:

What happens if you set Retrigger, DynLevel and DynTime to minimal values on both bow and edge?
