What settings did you change from default?

OK I got it to stick again.

1. I pressed right to get to 'Autoload Conf', then up to change to 'yes'.
2. Pressed right again to get to 'MIDI Speed" and pressed up to get to "38400".
3. Pressed right again to get 'Save Config' and up to get '1' and right to save
4. Screen reported it saved and then exited menu mode
5. Removed and replaced USB to reset and it is now stuck on the copyright screen again.

To get it stuck I changed only the settings I listed: Autoconfig (yes), MIDI Speed (38400) and Save Config (1)

There is inconsistency in how MIDI Speed is saved and I'll look into it (didn't look at it for a long time).
Anyway, just did what you did on a freshly programmed Atmega and cannot reproduce the problem with the stuck screen.
1. Changed 'Autoload Conf' to 'Yes'
2. Without exiting the menu changed 'MIDI Speed' to 38400
3. Without exiting the menu saved config to slot 1.
4. Waited until it exited the menu.
5. Power cycled MegaDrum. As expected it showed the copyright screen for 2 seconds and then exited to the VU meters mode.
6. Looked at the settings again and I can see 'Autoload Conf' is set to 'No' (because it was set to 'Yes' without exiting the menu), 'MIDI Speed' is set to 31250 (I'll look into it). But the main thing, it doesn't get stuck.

Then just to double checked that Autoload Conf actually works.
1. Changed 'Autoload Conf' to 'Yes'. Waited till it exited the menu.
2. Saved config to slot 1.
3. Power cycled MegaDrum. Looked at the settings again and I can see 'Autoload Conf' is set to 'Yes' and it doesn't get stuck.

Can anybody else reproduce the problem with the suck screen?
