Ok I guess I'm out of that option then. What's the height of that enclosure? I see that you don't use stacked jacks in that particular build (56 in). What's the minimum height if I want to be able to use stacked jack inputs?

It is a standard 1U height.

Thanks for the info dmitri! Just to educate myself and others not knowing what standard 1U height is. A quick search gave me this info: 1U = 4 cm(1.75 inches)

I think 1U is too small (don't know for sure though) for stacked jacks so a 2U rack (8.9 cm(3.5 inches)) would probably be better.

After an hour of searching for a suitable enclosure I've decided to build it myself. I'll probably use some kind of wood for the shell and maybe some kind of metal where my stacked jacks will be situated. Is it a bad idea to build the enclosure in wood? Can it damage the board or anything else easier?

Thanks Kurtus! It's a nice retro design by Kimouette and it looks like it's made entirely in wood...and the link also showed a pretty good explanation of the 3 zone Yamaha cymbal approach that I'm tempted to try when my MegaDrum is built :)

Wow that's a very impressive wood enclosure! Starting to feel some pressure....got to build the greatest wood enclosure ever! ;)
Wood seems to be the way to go if you want to build one yourself. It's easy to find suitable parts and easy to form and drill holes in any way. The only negative I can think of is that it can be a fire hazard. It might be possible to get round that by processing the wood with some kind of chemical substances. Thanks for the links. They are very helpful and inspiring.

After some modification this one might be a good choice:
