The thing is, we use the bootloader for convenience so we don't have to use a programmer to update the firmware all the time. If you use the hex firmware from that archive (megadrum_20100516.zip) then you will always need to use a programmer to update the firmware. With syx though you can update via USB-MIDI or MIDI I/O.


hmmm....i see what you mean now....the problem i am having is that i am unable to press LEFT key and change the clock once i successfully upload the bootloader. I checked the keyboard connector and it seems to be fine so i m pretty much stuck in this.

If you can, try shorting the ground and the pin for the left button on the board instead of pressing the button, just to make sure you don't have a faulty button.

yea..i tried it ...still no good...i m thinking something wrong with atmega...or circuit it self
