What buffer and sample rate settings are you using for the 2i2? Again, download the Addictive Drums demo to see whether the problem is with the module or with the software setup. My guess is that the snare is heavy on resources and that you need to change the above mentioned settings. If you suspect it's the snare input, change its note to, say, the kick note and see if it still does it.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

If the latency that bad and the problem is with MegaDrum's snare input then you should easily see it in MDM Log, i.e. you will see the snare hit bar coming full second later after you hit the snare.

Dmitri,
When I return to the studio this afternoon I will check that in the log and see where we are. Update to follow. Thanks for the follow up too, greatly appreciated.

And I hope you installed the focusrite driver.

TamaBeast wrote:I only have latency on the snare... just like prior to installing the 2i2. All the other drums transmit voices with no latency and, they sound much better coming through the PA system. However, the latency on the snare is 1 full second off, at least and sometimes more. I changed the trigger, same effect, changed the drum entirely to a pintech 10" pad, same effect and, the pintech pad works perfectly with my Yamaha module.

You won't regret the purchase thats for sure.

Try a different input, to test, they are all the same.

I don't regret the purchase whatsoever; I noticed a difference in the sound and response immediately; except for the snare. Yes, I installed the focusrite drivers, that was the second thing I did right after disabling the laptop soundcard and restarting the computer. In fact, BFD3 found that driver and when I opened up the software it had already selected it as soundcard because it became the default for the laptop. I'll test the snare on a different port later this afternoon and see what happens. You can count on me posting the information back here; a solution for one is a solution for all... Thanks for all of your input with the module, you and Dmitri have been very consistent with feedback and I appreciate that a lot.

You're more than welcome, I like to think the regulars here are a cut above the tiresome, 'RTFM' atitude you get on other sites.

I'm closer on getting the latency issue resolved however, for some reason, there's a bit of a delay now with the Focusrite 2i2. The new issue is that the snare, when hit repetitively such as a role or 16th notes, becomes distorted and the pitch changes while latency increases. For instance lets just say I hit the snare a dozen times using 16ths. The first hit sounds like the snare, the next 7 hits the pitch changes and gets higher, then, there's a pause and the last five hits come totally out of time and garbled in the last second. A straight roll is not possible; the majority of the hits are delayed and then play all at once; seems like the latency being a second or two behind and then in a half second, five notes are played... Any ideas guys???

So what did MDM Log show? Is it still BFD3? Did you try Addictive Drums Demo? If you move the snare to another input and configure it as a snare, does the problem also move?
Also, are you using the latest MegaDrum firmware?

What settings do you have on the 2i2? This sounds like cpu related rather than MD.

Here's an image of all my settings for this trigger. I'm using an intel I5- 2.2Ghz in a Lenovo ThinikPad running Windows 10 with 8 gigs of ram. I'm installing 8 more gigs of ram tomorrow however, the system is playing all the voices for the other drums just fine, it's still only with the snare... Take a look at this image and see if I have something goofy...
