It would be useful if you could make three records (midi files) of a free bouncing stick starting with the first hit and until the stick has come to rest with MegaDrum, TD12 and Edrum. The reason I'm asking is that when doing rolls on a Pintech 10" snare pad MegaDrum with my current settings is at least as good as Edrum (can't compare to TD12) .

Ok, will do the midi records tomorrow, time for me to go to sleep. May I ask you to send me your settings that I can dump through sysex using MDC? It may be useful for me to tweak starting from your settings and modifying for my pads.

FWIW, the diy design I'm using for my pads is similar to roland PD120. 12" with crossbar running through the middle with a cone dead center and piezo underneath.

Thanks for the files, helped me a lot in dialing in on correct settings. Uploaded a video on youtube, you can see it here:

Still having problems with dual zone cymbals and choke but overall, playability is AWESOME!

Thanks a lot for the video! Pity I'll only be able to watch it tonight. I'm sure dual piezo/switch cymbal and choke will be sorted out because, as you may have figured out from Ride cymbal settings I posted, I have one such from Pintech and it works excellent.

I don't know how pintechs work but do they use switch for the rim (bell or edge) sounds? For roland type cymbals, the bow/head uses a piezo and the rim (edge/bell for ride) uses switch which also acts as the choke.

This is exactly how Pintech cymbals work. They are piezo/switch.

estregan ,

I wonder how you made the cymbals in your video. Did you just glue some piezo pickups on the bottom side of real acoustic cymbals?

Yes, just some double sided tape and piezo under the real cymbals.
