You keep ignoring "MegaDrum FAQ. Read it before posting in this forum!"

whichever one you can manage to install would be my guess. You mentioned that you have access to a programmer. Why don't you create your own firmware?

anirudh.pianist wrote:with my homemade bootloader

to my understanding your homemade megadrum bootloader is not possible. Again, if you have access to your own programmer, why don't you just write your own firmware?

anirudh.pianist wrote:atmega32 ...?

atmega32 is before my time. I use Dmitri programmed atmega64 I got from him. I fail to understand why this concept is so hard to grasp...

Again atmega32 is before my time. Let me know how things work.

Isn't your project late?

If it is a school project, shouldn't you program your atmega32 by yourself? That would mean you need to learn how to use your atmega programmer. Shouldn't you get that information from atmel? :?

well, you should know how to program atmega.

anirudh.pianist wrote:so how do I write my own firmware?

your previous statement implies that you already know how to do this. I would imagine your programmer came with documentation. I suggest you rtfm.

anirudh.pianist wrote:Can this help me to bootload my ATmega32

you tell me. you have a programmer.

You said you are in a class. Didn't your professor teach you how to do any of that? If not, it is doubtful that you are going to meet your 1 week extension of your deadline. You speak as though you have no concept or clue as to what you are doing, but you have an extensive familiarity with the jargon which seems to allow you to "ask the right questions". I find this enigmatic... :? At this point, I question your "naive" attempt to get around the rules of the forum. So I guess there are 2 logical possibilities.

1. You know what you are doing but you want to get out of paying Dmitri for a protected atmega64 with the firmware already installed. Since Dmitri won't allow access to his bootloader information, you have become extremely frustrated and decided to amuse yourself by going in circles asking the same questions that you already know the answer.
2. You absolutely have no idea what you are trying to do, are extremely frustrated because you have to learn a semester's worth of academic work in 1 weeks time and you are amusing yourself by going in circles asking the same questions that you already know the answer (instead of going to your professor or a peer and asking for help).

If either of these cases is what is really happening, I seriously doubt your interactions with this forum will be fruitful especially since you assert you are required to learn how to design a software/hardware system, build it, and program it in one weeks time.

According to the exchange rate 3000Rs is equal to around 41GBP. That means you are telling I'm charging around 40GBP for 1 IC.
It is a big lie.
This way you are on the way to be banned from the forum.
