At 90% pedal open, the VU shoots to 50 -75... not solid, meter is bouncing around still.

The meter gradually decreases to the left to about 25-45%. Meter bouncing. At this point the pedal is 5% open (nearly closed).

Fully closed the meter shoots to the left, fully closed.

Please, load this firmware:
megadrum_20121205.zip

Still with a resistor and still on the low impedance input, can you repeat this test:

1. Set LevelsAuto to No
2. Set LowLevel to 500
3. Set HiLevel to 630
4. Set CC RdcLvl to 3
5. Set Big VU Meter to Yes
6. Set Pedal Curve to: Exp1

No open MDM and connect MDM to MegaDrum. In MDM open MIDI Log. Press the pedal once and then depress it fully. With the pedal fully depressed (open) the pedal meter in MIDI Log should be filled all the way up, isn't it?
Now start to press the pedal very slowly and watch the pedal meter in the MIDI Log until the pedal is fully pressed (closed).
1. At what pedal pressure position (3/4, 1/2, 1/4 of fully open) does the pedal meter start to change?
2. Does it change in steps (2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ... steps) or gradually?
3. Does the pedal meter go all the way down when the pedal is fully pressed (closed)?
4. Is the pedal meter in MIDI Log jerky while you slowly close the pedal?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

No. The MidiLog meter is showing 69 in a range of 1-126. The meter is not full.

The meter stays at 69, until fully closed, and goes to zero.

As I release the pedal, it shoots back to 69 in MidiLog when I get to about 50% open on the pedal.

The big VU on Megadrum show the same thing. About 60% full until fully closed, then shoots back to about 60% as I release the pedal. (saying 60% as I do not have a figure to go by on the interface)

Ok, let's make a step back to the previous best test with low impedance input, AltIn set to No and with a resistor :

1. Set LevelsAuto to No
2. Set LowLevel to 500
3. Set HiLevel to 630
4. Set CC RdcLvl to 1. Yes to 1, 1 in this firmware version corresponds to 3 in previous firmware.
5. Set Pedal Curve to Linear.
6. Set Big VU Meter to Yes

Exit the menu. With the pedal fully depressed (open) the pedal VU meter (top big VU meter) should be filled all the way to the right, isn't it?
Now start to press the pedal very slowly and watch the pedal VU meter until the pedal is fully pressed (closed).
1. Does the VU meter change?
2. At what pedal pressure position (3/4, 1/2, 1/4 of fully open) does the VU meter start to change?
3. Does it change in steps (2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ... steps) or gradually?
4. Does the VU meter go all the way to the left when the pedal is fully pressed (closed)?

With these settings you request, the meter is not full. It is about 75% full.

At pedal 60% open VU starts to decrease, jittery 50-75%, gradually.

Pedal 5% open it holds at 25%, no jitter.

Fully closed it shoots to the left, VU off.

It is having trouble going back to fully open. I will open and close the pedal fully and intermittently it will fill the VU meter. Mostly back to 75% full...

I wonder why the result from the last test is different from your test in http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtop ... 591#p22591. Are you sure everything was set exactly the same except RdcLvl? If you sure, then load previous firmware from http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtop ... 584#p22584 and repeat the test with RdcLvl set to 3. The result should be the same as in http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtop ... 591#p22591
