Thanks for the suggestion, Denis! I tried but it seems like the ASIO isn't reducing the latency at all. Checkout my screenshots and please tell me if I'm missing something:

There should not be a latency problem with this settings. Asio settings are ok. However I'm not sure with Sonar. I did not use it for ages since I'm working on prottols and cubase.
You can try an other host program.
By the way did you check the latency with an other midi device such as a midi keyboard?

no, not yet, since I don't own another midi device...

but I'll try another sw, maybe protools!

did you guys find out why the ICSP wasnt working as i am having the exact problem where it fails to upload the code no matter what, did also try the PIC on a vellaman PIC programmer but with same issue so hve now ordered a new PIC to rule that out.

any other suggestions?
