I have the MegaDrum 56i. I'm a little confused about my power supply. I built the unit and I'm at the point now to power it up to try downloading the firmware. What type power supply do I need?

Can it be USB powered for this or do I need an external power pack. What type power pack do I need. I assume I need an AC power pack. Would a 12V AC pack work?

USB power is enough.

If you are not transferring your midi through usb, you can use one of THESE. Just use one of these cables with it.

No, you don't have to use a regular AC power. USB power is still enough.
