potentiometer Hi hat problem.

Postby Effraktor » Thu Apr 08, 2010 9:46 pm

Hey. finaly got my zendrum/megadrum playably finished. Jutst trying to set somethings up and i've noticed a few problems. Thought i'd see if anyone has any ideas.

On the lcd the hi hat level bar goes to full when my pot is less than half way slid up. Below that it responds normaly and the bar goes up and down ok.

But in the megadrum config software in the midi monitor section it doesn't show anything in the hihat open----closed section.

I do get a midi responce of 0 from the hi hat pad when the pot is on anything below full. then when it show sup as full on the lcd it changes to midi note 3. So i am getting a variance. But i thought i should be able to get atleast 3 different positions and a chick sound?

it's a 100k pot so i attatched it to the high impedance wire and have put the settings to altin to yes.

1. Adjust Low and HighLevel in pedal settins.
2. Limit physical range of the resistor.
3. Add a resistor to the +5V end of the potentiometer to limit voltage swing to less then 5V.

Set Pedal type to F.Contr

2. Limit physical range of the resistor.

Change the overall resistance of the carbon track - double speek for using less pot.
