Roland F8 Pedal

So I have to get this megadrum up and running asap. like yesterday.
Everything so far is golden, but for some reason my Roland FD-8 pedal will not work at all. I have tried to navigate this forum and find some thread dealing with connecting a hi hat pedal to the brain, but I have had no success yet.
Help me megadrum friends, you are my only hope...
