Btw-since I have read the FAQ's, please show me where I missed the section on what those of us already with megadrums can do when we are already sitting here with working firmware to dump our firmware and upload it to a new megadrum (since all that are offered now are kits) and pre-burned chips?

Didn't read the FAQ's? You are wrong. Don't agree with your position is more accurate. If you are going to edit my post and put words in my mouth, please at least be accurate and honest about it.

Edit:

Maybe you meant these FAQ's:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=440

First I thought you were referring to these FAQ's:
http://www.megadrum.info/faqs

Or maybe these FAQ's:
faq.php

Are there any other FAQ's that I need to be aware of before posting?

Please PM me your question and if it is valid (i.e. I'm not teaching anyone here chip hacking) I'll try to answer it to the best of my knowledge.

If you are trying to get the old FW that works without the encrypted bootloader, it can be found HERE. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Not sure if the old bootloader is still available.

mbira,

I meant what I meant.

1. It is a MegaDrum Hardware forum.
2. There a Sticky topic in this forum called "MegaDrum FAQ. Read it before posting in this forum!". The topic says it all.
3. You are not the first to ignore the above 2 above.

Btw-since I have read the FAQ's, please show me where I missed the section on what those of us already with megadrums can do when we are already sitting here with working firmware to dump our firmware and upload it to a new megadrum (since all that are offered now are kits) and pre-burned chips?

I already did, long ago - read the FAQ.

Good, calling me names now.
Are you suggesting to re-name ""MegaDrum FAQ. Read it before posting in this forum!" to something ""MegaDrum FAQ. Read it before posting in this forum and only if the answer is not in this topic! "?

I meant that I thought I had read the FAQs, but I had read the other two FAQs, not the one FAQs that you thought I should read (which I did read since btw). So yes-I had missed that section. Thanks to the others for pointing me there.

And, while the FAQs addresses one of the aspects of my post, it does not touch on any of the other issues-which you chose to delete instead of addressing. I don't expect you to address every issue (it's your forum after all), however I'm surprised at your censorship instead of allowing discussion (and possibly a solution that you haven't even considered?).

I'd like to state here-as I have several other times in the past-I'm a fan of your work and dedication to Megadrum. Instead of hearing what I (and others?) are writing about how to move forward as an attack on you, perhaps you'll hear it as suggestions from friends that want to see you succeed?

Don't make difficult something which is very simple - create a topic with questions/issue/problems/wishes not covered in the FAQ.

I'm not a forums "flooder" type of person. I'll stop right here.
