Megadrum 32 /56 input

Hello,

Been hunting around in the documentation and FAQ, but can't find an answer. Sorry, but I'm new to this, and am about to embark on a MegaDrum learning and building adventure of DOOM!

The MegaDrum 32 has 32 inputs. Are these inputs dual? ie, if i had a snare and 4 toms each with a head and rim sensor, would I use 5 inputs, or would I use 10? Is this the same for dual or tri zone cymbals?

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere and i haven't found it.

I have the drum kit that I want to start converting, and I just want to be clear before I start.

All of the inputs are dual except for the kick which is mono.

You'd be using 10. 32/56 inputs means 32/56 individual inputs (piezos or switches). You can choose between making them dual or mono.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies - though I am confused now, as the two replies seem to contradict each other.

Am i confusing a physical input with a data input? Ie, is one physical input responsible for 2 data inputs?

If I have a snare with a head and rim piezo, would I use 2 plugs on the module, or would i use one plug, and that one plug is connected to both rim and head piezos?

Thanks,
Smoe

On a MD 32 input, you can have 16 stereo jacks ( - kick), on a 56, you can have 28 stereo jacks (- kick).
