Roland PD125

Recently got this pad for snare and it seemsto work well with Meagdrum. I have some questions:

1. With the latest version of firmware do I still need a rectifier to make positional sensing work well?

2. I get a high level on the head of 990 with gain set to 0, and 550 with all gains low. All my other pads are hot so would you recommend to use all gains low ?

Thanks for your help

Yes, using AllGainsLow in your case is better.

Thanks Dimitri, just loaded the new firmware and gonna try it now.

Please confirm if I still need the rectifier for pos sensing ?

Thanks Alan

It depends on the polarity of the first half wave. PD-125 does require a rectifier.

Hi Dimitri, as I said in another post the new firmware works really well for me. Just to give you some feedback the positional sensing on the snare seems to work to even without a rectifier. I am getting a full range of CC16 from rim to centre.

This is unexpected but unfortunately I cannot test and confirm it myself.
