LevelsAuto: Yes - HiHat Pedal setting questions.

I got my module back after reprogramming for encrypted firmware, thank you very much Dmitri!

I was setting up my high-hat yesterday and discovered that LevelsAuto doesn't respond as described in the documentation. I have an unmodified Roland FD-8 pedal.

Default when I turn on the module is Low=16 High=50 and nothing changes after pressing and releasing the pedal several times. If I set LowLevel to 90 and press the pedal a few times it resets to 40, but if I set it below 40 it doesn't adjust up and I wondered if that behaviour was normal? Highlevel doesn't move no matter where it is set initially.

I think I remember it working as described in the documentation with the (very old) previous firmware, but I can't be certain.

Yes. LevelsAuto can adjust LowLevel only down and HihgLevel only up.

Even if you set it to 16?

It works just fine when I set the pedal impedance switch correctly to the high impedance (down) setting, and AltIn to 'Yes'.

Thank you for linking me to the FD-8 search results Dmitri. Reviewing those threads helped a lot. :D
