strange

Postby airflamesred » Mon Aug 13, 2012 7:49 am

Firstly
Am I right in thinking inputs2 and 3 are for hi hat only? Can't seem to change the Mnote

Secondly
I have some hits not being picked up, even on a one handed roll. Looking at the midi log and it alternates between head and rim. I have mono inputs - is this a feature!

I think this is a setting issue
Threshold 8
gain 0 - any higher and it multi triggers
retrigger 1
miniscan 10
both dyns 0

I have had this working really well so I know it does

Any thoughts?

Mark

By default, input 2 (and 3 if dual/3way) is for HiHat.

There is no MNote as a note for an input. MNote is there to set/change Note, ANote and PNote simultaneously.

What are Note, PNote and ANote on the input?

Maybe I'm not understanding what Mnote does. If I set Anote to the same then it's good to go. I thought Mnote overid the rest.

No, it doesn't override the rest. It's just there for convenience to change Note, PNote and ANote simultaneously.

So just to be clear, to prevent this 'every other note trigger', I need to set note rather than Mnote?

You need to have the same note in Note, ANote and PNote.

Ok
So I have pads connected and all's well and good. I scroll through MD and when reaching Positional In the pads cut out.

Its bizarre
The pads trigger on MD from start up, left encoder and scroll as far as 'positional In', midi activity light goes on and off and pads no longer trigger.

Let me see if I understand it.

1. You turn MegaDrum on.
2. Start hitting (any?) pads and it triggers MIDI messages.
3. Then in the menu you navigate to 'PositionalIn' and don't change any settings along the way.
4. You start hitting (any?) pads and it DOES NOT trigger MIDI messages.
5. In the menu you navigate away from any 'Positional*' menu setting.
6. Finally you again start hitting (any?) pads and it still DOES NOT trigger MIDI messages.

Is that right?
