How to configure VH-11

Hello,
I am trying to use Megadrum with VH-11. I have just bought the VH-11 but I don't know how to configure it in a way to have all the zones from open to close.

Today my VH-11 is working, but I have just the state close and open, sending the note F#3 for closed and A#3 for opened.

Can you help me how to configure It ? I am using BFD. I have read some posts, I've tried lots of things but I was not able to figure out.

Thank You

Hi!

Have you seen my posts about vh-11? viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1986&start=0

The resistor thing is overkill as your first step to make it perfect.

I think you will find a working baseline of configuration for vh11 in the Post. The pedal should work okey. I have not any experince of BDF. I am using AD. In Ad it is possible to read the pedal value cc4 and let the software determine if a closed or open sound should occur and everything in between. AD has about 4 steps between open/closed.

But it is possible to do this also in Megadrum...it is some tweaking to make it perfect. So, you need to make a selection where to do the config. Megadrum or in your software.

There is extremly nice guide regarding how to do it in BDF on their site. If you have done the calibration of the vh-11 in megadrum by just stealing my config...you should easily get a working solution. http://www.fxpansion.com/index.php?page=53&tab=148

Well,
to make the perfect test, I've downladed the Addictive Drums and the presets you made, I've imported the presets into megadrum and the Map in the Addictive Drums and it is still not working. With your configuration I have just one sound from the Hi-Hat.

I have a way to test if the pedal controller is sending the right cc4 values to Megadrum ?

Sorry about the questions, I am really new in the megadrum world.

Thank You,
Rafael

Now I made a new calibration and I found the area in the Addictive Drums where I can see the CC4 Parameter.
Actually it is working, not in a good way, maybe now the next step is install the resistor, like you said before.

Thank You for your helping.

Hi best friend!
I need to go in to this forum more on regular basis...

I have just posted a new pack of my configurations. Pack 5.5. (with config files for MDS, ADMap, ADPreset)
I have changed the hihat configuration quite a bit and I have been moving the hihat control to Addictive Drums instead.
So a lot of the hihat configuration have been pushed out from the MegaDrum device. I have rehearsed with the band with this config one time and in my opion - the hihat worked much better. Yes - you should patch your hihat pedal input with a resistor!!

Pack 5.5 BETA https://www.dropbox.com/s/iu7r901yq8qufyy/Pack5_5.zip

For Dmitri -
Using the latest version of MegaDrum Manager (20120911) it seems like that the pedal.highLevel can't be red from a MDS file anymore.
It is always reads 0 zero - what ever you do. Looking in the MDS file - everything looks great. So saving seems to be working.

Best Regards

Anders

Anders, thanks for catching a bug! I just published a new MDM version with the bug fixed.
