i was wondering if anyone has already posted a step by step for dummies on how to get Md working properly?
i did have md working with ableton and it was sending and receiving info through MDmanager.
now i can not get the Mdmanager to receive signal. and also can not get ableton to receive any midi info.
i am wondering if there is something i have done which has caused to md to loose connection?

can someone point me to a detailed forum or post on what to do as if you were setting up md for the first time.
i have read as much as i can to try and figure out the problem. but i am quite new to this sort of thing.
i am getting signal in md onscreen display. that is it though. Ive also tried starting up on different usb ports and tried syncing ableton to those same ports.
could it be a java update?

i am using Macbook pro 10.8.2
midi port set to incoming midi in/midi out both port 1
the usb cable is plugged into the usb port 1

First hint.

Set MegaDRUM Manager to send and receive on MD midiport 1 (If using USB)

Set Ableton to receive on MD midiport 2

MegaDRUM has two equal midi ports which are sending the same information.
Using the same port will in most cases result in problems like you described.

Haven't you lost connectivity between MegaDrum and MDM after you upgraded to the latest Mac OS version? What are the exact names of MIDI ports you selected in MDM Options?

i found that the problem was i had to physically send the sysex chain ID on the MD,
ive never had to do that before. it usually picks up automatically. i set my chain ID to 0
and made sure i was on 20MHz else any others dont work.
