Getting the information onto the MCU's

hi all, hope you are all well,

i have a pretty basic question but still new to the AVR micro controller world.

if anyone can help shed some light on the setting up the connections and programming the firmware this would be great, its the only part i am unsure with.

for example, how to connect megadrum to computer to programme what kind of connection to use for each one, what programme used to upload the firmware stuff like that,

if anyone can help here it would be very appreciated.
