No Midi Detection?

Postby Nepo » Tue May 07, 2013 7:10 pm

Hello all,
may be I do somthing wrong, but I dont find a solution.
I want to run MD with a computersoftware, and I I try it first with the shareware Superdrum FX.
This software worked with an Alesis DM5 , the Midi In device was automaticly detected.

I try this with my MD but in this case the Midi in will not detected. May be this Shareware its too old for USB Midi and I try it with a brand new "Drumasonic" Testsoftware but it is the same > No Midi device?

In the MD Manual the third page after " Firmware vers. " is "MIDI Speed" , but my MD hasn't this setting.
After "Firmware" it skips to "Autoload Conf."

Any Idear?

Does MegaDrum Manager see MegaDrum USB MIDI Ports?

In the MD Manual the third page after " Firmware vers. " is "MIDI Speed" , but my MD hasn't this setting.

Of course it doesn't have it. It's ARM based so it doesn't need this setting - it always works at max Full USB speed as opposed to older Atmega based MegaDrum.

Hi Jörg,
do you use superdrumFX with a host like "vsthost" or something else. If not, read the documentation of SuperdrumFX. There it is written how to install it. (Du kannst mich kontaktieren unter christian.hopf@web.de)

Hello,
I open MDM and as Midi In is shown "Real time Sequencer" and then comes MIDI Init error.

I push button "Get all" , something is loaded, but nothing happens.

The actual Firmware are not detected too???

What's wrong?

You have to select MegaDrum USB MIDI in both "MIDI In" and "MIDI Out".

I select both IN & OUT.

I test from Midi OUT all in the list Gerwill/ MS Midimapper/MS Wavetable/Real Time Sequencer.....without success!

Another USB port is with the same result....no detection.

Is there MegaDrum USB MIDI in the list of available ports? Can you take a screenshot showing all available MIDI ports in the selection list?

Very strange. Follow this:

1. Disconnect MegaDrum from USB.
2. Reboot your PC.
3. Connect MegaDrum to USB.
4. Run MDM. Go to Options. List available MIDI ports and take a screenshot.
