the same pad with two different calbles gives me different Performance, but why?

have a cheap cable with 2m lengh, it was sold with my edrum pad, gives a very nice sensitivity ... bought me a 1m xlr microphone cable, spend much Money for it, but with this i have a very poor sensitivity and the whole velocity is different. ist simply not so sensitive, but why?

whats the differences between xlr cables? they look identically, even from inside... have meassured the resistence, without a clue. both near 0... so whats going on here?

I might only suspect this xlr cable has high parasitic capacitance between signal and ground wires.

on the cable is written 100ohm ... where they are? ive meassured the cable and dont found any resistance...

i observed that the longer the cable is, then the better the Signal is... any solution to the high parasitic capacitance you mean.

I'm just guessing here. If it's not a resistance on the signal wire itself, then it is either:
1. Electrical flow from signal to ground wire via a parasitic capacitance or a resistor.
2. Parasitic inductance on any of the wires.

okay, found out whats about:

the cable doesnt Play a role... the lenght it is about.

have Extended my 1m xlr calbes to 3m and baaam, from now, have such a sensitive velocity... if i shorten the cable, then the velocity is very low.

but why? whats that?

I doubt it's the length. There is something wrong with your shorter cable.

have tried it with 3 different calbles... with the same results. the 1m cables give less sensitive velocity like the 3m cables or with the Extension.

it is like day and night... it could not be a Chance, that all 3 calbles are broken and with the extensoin get repaired.

plz try it out... dont understand it

I tried it with different cable lengths, from half a meter to a couple of meters - no difference. These were regular cables with TRS jacks.
