I can't program pic18f2550

In winpic says that could not initialize programmer. what should i do?

Was PIC18F2550 powered up from USB when you tried to program it?

Yes i connected the usb cable

Than double (triple) check your ICSP cable, correct pinouts, short circuits, and your board - again short circuits, continuity, correct resistors and capacitors values.
