Between PCB with digital sheet contains "ATMEGA32-P" microcontroller. Substitute for a portion of the PCB ATMEGA644 microcontroller?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Atmega644-P and Atmega32-P are pin compatible. MegaDrum started long ago with Atmega32 and then grew to Atmega644, Atmega1284 and STM32F103RCT6 (ARM).
