Key press

Please can someone give me the exact key presses I need to get to change the megadrum speed to USB only.

This is not ideal but I cannot get my LCD working, and as I will be parting ways with my unfinished megadrum soon I would at least like to get this right before I do so.

After powering up.

USB only 1: LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, UP
USB only 2: LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, UP, UP
USB only 3: LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, UP, UP, UP

Thanks Dmitri

I have tried all 3 and I still get sysex timeouts on 96% when trying to save to slot or send all.

I am using a powered hub as suggested by a few others and still no luck.

Anything else I can try?

Can anything be measured on the LCD controller to check that all is ok on the megadrum board?

What do I press afterwards to ensure that the speed has saved?

Provided no inputs are triggering, just wait for 10 seconds to make sure it exits the menu.

Just to confirm, when going through the 3 options does the midi led light up briefly on each option? If so then I have definitely tried all 3 speeds with no effect.

Would you be willing to allow me to post it back to you for diagnosis and repair and send it back with a working lcd?

The drummer in our band is going to be taking my megadrum and kit that I have made as I am moving and cannot take it with me. I'd like to give him something that works because I have had no luck recently.

Yes, it does. It sends a MIDI message from Atmega to PIC.

You can send it for diagnosis. If it needs a repair it may cost up to to the cost of the board which is 65GBP. The LCD comes only with Basic and Full kit and I will not add it to a Minimal discounted kit.
